This installation bridges the gap between reality and the staged sets of film, creating a space that stretches beyond the crop of the camera. The work presents the evidence of mediation that occurs when the photographer creates an image. By presenting the staged area in which the work was created, the viewer is brought into the process of making the work and the decisions of the artist. The edge of the screen, representative of the crop of the camera, demonstrates the viewers entry point into the work. The installation continues beyond this point, exposing the areas of the set in which the artist intended to be hidden. The work directs attention to the relationship between the real world we inhabit and the intangible space presented on screen and creates a space in which the two are woven together and granted interaction.
